Providing resources  for guardians, wards (protected persons) & their families, who suffer from mental illness, dementia, developmental disabilities, and other impairments who need guardians, or an alternative, such as power of attorney, supported decision-maker, or representative payee.

  • Members & LeadershipWe have opportunities for you to serve on our Board of Directors and committees. Virtual membership meetings are on the 1st Friday (10am) in February, April, August, October and December. Board meetings are held at 9:30am preceding membership meetings.
  • Educational coursesWe are beginning to create an education plan to help both professionals achieve excellence in serving as guardians and family guardians serving with excellence.
  • Best PracticesThe Guardian Association of Indiana, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation formed to exchange ideas, education and information between its members, the general public and other stakeholders. Our association is an affiliate  of the National Guardianship Association, which promotes the industry standards of practice and code of ethics. Go to NGA website.

The Guardian Association of Indiana is a nonprofit corporation formed by a group of guardians in Indiana. Its mission is to provide a forum to exchange ideas, education and communication between its members and the public and other stakeholders who are interested in furthering the efforts of providing guardianships to individuals who need them.

To become a member of the Guardian Association of Indiana, please submit a completed application for found on our website and send a check payable to Guardian Association of Indiana, PO Box 1665, Columbus, IN 47202. COST: $40/yr.
The Guardian Association of Indiana provides resources, education and support to professional, governmental and family guardians.
